baby hasnt been himself lately!

i decided to ask him directly after all my hints didnt get me a reply.. i asked.. but his reply was no!

done a little reflection. looking back what ive done so far. im not happier then i was before

does all the unhappiness boils down to the stage of adulthood? im not sure.. what do you think?

basically when we grew older or perhaps some might prefer the word 'wiser'.. things became complicated.. what we want apparently becomes more.

this year was special
had Ian over for reunion dinner
his family couldnt celebrate cos his grandpa passed away
guess his mum didnt cook as well

Finally... Singpore Zoo

i have to clear my off-in-lieu for the last PH (Deepavali) within the same month.. therefore decided to apply leave today..

we always planned to go to the zoo.. but unforeseen circumstances always happened.. we have to delayed it. but not today! :)

the weather is fantastic in the morning. he is driving. when he came to pick me up, sudden downpour. zzz i hate this. after we decided to have a nice lunch over at e coffeeshop ard my house area, the rain stopped! hahas.

hmm let me think, when was the last time i stepped to the zoo. 3 months ago to the night safari. counted? hahas.. Zoo i think is about 10 or 12 years? i think the last time was when im still in primary school. school excursion. OMG :)

although e weather is wet and humid. but i think both of us enjoyed ourselves :) i has a great time there. i couldnt rem what was zoo like 10 or 12 years back seriously. but i think the zoo today is beautiful and amazing! it is unbelievable cos you can actually be tat close to e animals!

this is my first time handling solemnization event n seriously i am quite scared that i might just screw it up. you know it is not nice to screw other people's wedding .. hahas im just afraid that mine would be..

since kit & willy wanted to go for the concert, we bought it together.
a bdae gift for sis cos in fact not too sure what to get for her too. =)

hope she likes the concert afterall
well it is a 3 hours n 15 mins concert, tixs are definitely worth while

Oliver Ong & SHE are the special guests for the concert too =)
You should see how he was been disturbed by SHE, Ella ..

hahas he was so awkward i guess ..
from 8.30pm the concert starts until 11.45pm we got out of the indoor stadium
we susposed to go for late dinner together after the concert, but it turns out that all of us is so tired

thanks to willy cos she drove me n sis back
anyway sis took so much video rather than photos

anyway today after we came back from lunch, jie & i went to decorate the wedding arch after she has settled the booking of hotel room for her Taiwan Trip.

Jie is going Taiwan for 8 days!!! Yes, is 8 days. from this coming sun to the next sun.
so she is going to miss the Tombola this month again. sob! im damn bad @ counting money.

I want to go taiwan lah .. the non-stop shopping spree .. the chance to meet up some idols or singer on the streets.. hahahas and not to miss the 'wen quan'

i think i have to wait for another few more years ah.. saving up for studies

should be quite a big event for us cos it has been awhile since we hosted big events

i rem the last big thingie should be the Swiss Team staying over for their training before heading to Olympic @ Beijing 2008
too bad i wasnt @ the company yet to see all those hunks. hahaha

there are so many things to complain about but i have no idea where & how should i start it from.
anyway thru this event, i get to know a few events coordinators from Success Resources.
before i have started working @ CBC i have intended that i would want to work towards events coordinating like them.
chances to host big events @ various locations & meet new people even
it should be fun thou having to sacrifice the weekends or public holidays

after this event, im wondering can i handle that amount of stress when i am really recurited into this line
i have started questioning myself: do i really want to do it? or should i just find some simple 8-5 kinda office job would be better?

Well Chinese New Year is around the corner & i shouldnt ponder too much & enjoy this once a year thingie. hahahas

oh btw i got myself a new haircut & color just before chinese new year
I have been wanting to try this salon (@ my house area) cos they are so damn cheap.
haircut for just $ 2.80 (Guys) & $4.80 (Ladies)
Since Ian needs a new hairdo but a cheap want, we decided to go there together
i dyed, treatment & cut for just $58.80
ian had his bleac & dyed for like $56

Both of us are so happy with the result and i am sure to go back again since it is just $4.80 compared to like $12 @ my usual salon

Finally the last month of the year where we celebrate christmas and a new year approaching.

i guess this is the first time we are introducing to the public our new resident conductor, Mr Regan Wickman.

This place is beautiful, open concept and non air conditioned.
Probably the structure of the whole place makes the band sounds nice and big. =)

how should i start

just trying to pour out whatever i am not happy
i am not able to just trash things out openly at work

they told me that i would be assisting sales only

why do i have to change my seat?

i think my ears are fine, i did heard nothing about changing appointment or job scope whatsoever but
why do i have to shift and change my place nearer to sales to communicate better, than what about social side
this is so unfair
guess what, answer given was: "oh, no lah it is all about primary and secondary role."

busy with work than some other family matters.

oh well, shall do some summary of events happened:

15 November 08

after handling the "Welcome Party" with ah jie and kor, we r still on the partying mood. Wonder why we dont feel tired.
and then, we decided to go clubbing together.

We couldn't find any other interested parties as it is a last min decision, 3 of us just headed to dbl o ourselves. =)

18 November 08

Immediately after the clubbing session, i fell sick the following night.

High fever for straight 3 days than followed by coughing
it lasted bout a week plus and i spread it over my office
i felt so terrible for that week, and doesnt feel like going anywhere.

22 November 08

had the first changkat band alumni day at the PA Chalet in Pasir Ris.
but am still coughing badly and didn't do anything for preparation of the BBQ

special thanks to my fellow planners, best and zoul for understanding. =)

but it is really nice seeing all the old friends and seniors again but felt kinda disappointed as by midnight we can see most of the alumni leaving

i thought today marks a beautiful start for the last month of year 2008.
but am wrong
had half day off in the morning and after i came back
sports, sales n marketing, our dept had a meeting with our dear chairman

my goodness.
i seriously expected them to break our group up cos we are seriously very good terms
but i din know they acted so soon
firstly was boss been taken away from our dept
followed by me have to assist the sales n mark

they kept stressing the point to me that we must be flexible in during work
sometimes we must be able to take up various role in order to learn
but so
to me though it is a learning experience to take up coporate

well at least more specialized in what im going to do in the future if i were to continue staying in the events field.
but it is equally expensive for the part time degree

in fact it should be more texing as i have to manage work, band and studies.

This is the most beautiful sunset i have seen in Changi Beach Club so far. (ahem, after working for 3 weeks) hahahahahas.

The other days was either raining for preparing for the rain. So there is nothing to see.

Surprising, before i went home after work FINALLY, (is a sunday for the info) the sunset was so nice.

woah today marks the end of my holidays.
I have accepted the offer by Changi Beach Club as Social & Events Officer

I love this place.
this place is beautiful
unlike those bustling city hall crowded with people rushing for work we have the nice beach to accompany us. =)

Today was more or less the admin part.
settle the administrative things needed to be submitted to the HR.

I am working with a team of 3 including me and 2 executive.
plus we have a boss to report to.
The people here are nice but prob is my first day, i feel much neglected.

i haven been writing for sometime.
it has indeed a busy and undecisive week for me.

I headed for the Changi Beach Club interview on the last thurs and i got in!
they called me up the following day and offering the Social and Events Officer position.
cos im not equipped with any experiences they are not willing to pay me a good amt that i expected.
I have wanted to try working under events cos im not those who can stand desk bound jobs.

im quite indecisive.
whether to come out to the society to work before continuing my degree or otherwise?
i have been doing alot of thinking for the past week.
i love to study and definitely i would want to continue my degree but consider the time needed to be taken for full time degree.
i would be in my late 20s without any experience then who knows what the ecomony would be like by that time.
haix ..

sometimes i guess i think too much. maybe i should just head and try it out. if i dont like it i might as well quit.

Woodlands Ring Pri Sch cum Job Interview

I think i had a great afternoon today.
Ian , Law Wei and me headed to Woodlands Ring Primary School to help Mr Ng coach the band as he is going to Taiwan with the BDA ( Band Director's Association ) Band for competition i guess.

Intially was only Ian and Law Wei going, till Ian found that is a brass band. so i kinda get involved since im like neither schooling nor working @ e afternoon.
I heard that that we are going to get paid.
How much?
hmm not so sure.. but is indeed a very great experience. =)

The kids are loveable and really cute!

only the E-flat horn and tuba section came cos it was meant to be sectionals for them.
Law Wei took the Tuba,
Ian n me took the horns than..

The experience and that sense of satisfaction when they are able to play was really fun.
I have to coach the pri 3 kids to play DO .. RE .. ME .. FA ... ( whole scale preferably )
which they barley joined the band for like 1 month plus.
OMG ..

but that sense of satisfaction really motivates u when u are able to see them play the right notes as a section. hahahahaha

I told weiyi bout what we did today and even he was so interested to go there to see them play. Well perhaps next time we shall visit the sch again with Mr Ng.

Oh ya, not to mention ...
FINALLY Changi Beach Resort called me up this afternoon when am at Woodlands Ring Pri.
It is like almost 2 weeks already and i've kinda gave up .
Oh well i have an interview with them this coming Thurs,

Today i went to youth band practice.
and i realised that we just mearly left with 1 month plus to the concert day.
Yew Yau just announced that the tickets are ready to be sold.
OMG.

It is @ temasek poly TCC which can hold like bout 1000+ seats..
this is crazy cos i can seriously said that im not sure of all the pieces and have not really practice. oh shit!
n i hope my shifu, mr ho law fatt will just play together.

today i finally met n saw Shi Shi.
hahas, it has really been such a long time since i last met her up for band practice lah.

Well after that...., a bunch of us headed to support Yue Yuan @ his last performance with SP Band in their IBM 26 (I believe in Music) freshie concert. Ian and me got yue yuan a special gift, 2 cute small turtles. hahahahas.

This was the msg from Ian, and i was thinking he might want to have supper after work. and i was right! hahas

and for goodness sake, i just cant understand why Ian cant address me properly. !!!

Well last night wasnt just another ordinary supper night with Ian, yy and dear...
cos our dear friend, yy accidently broke the news that he have QUIT school.

This left me and Ian with a big shock

I couldnt believe that yy actually chosen to quit school. what is he going to do than? waiting to get enlisted. than after ns? omg .

anyway am so sorry YY, i think me and Ian doesnt meant to say those nasty words to you @ the coffeeshop last night. we are just shocked. really shocked. but i believe you have also thought bout it for quite some time before u settle down with this decision.

maybe what dear said was right,
everyone has the right to choose what he wants to do and yy has made his.
we should support him instead
he can go to Yong Siew Toh

which one would u choose? in fact am really admire YY's courage to choose what he always has like, an aspiration as a career.

the 3 of us has been meeting up lately for supper espcially when Ian moved back to our reservoir side.

I think Ian have to gave up his dieting program soon. hahas

Last Friday, Pasir Ris Secondary School Band had their annual concert.
hmmmmm....... in fact quite a number of us joined in and played.
personally i think the concert is good. =)

I think the previous time i step up at the VCH stage was last year's SWS Concert with Mr Nonami. hmmmm..
it has been like 10 months. WAH..

the end of the concert marks the end of all the sat practices. It sounds good isnt?
no more travelling to pasir ris sec every sat afternoon n killing my own programme.
But i dont seems to get used to it for the time being.

Comes to think of it im the one that always comes up with all the complains + excuses and having to drag myself to pasir ris sec for practices on saturday.
hahahahahas!!!

I thought by getting myself off from work on saturday was something right.
cos it is so tiring to drag myself to work after a whole afternoon of band practice at pasir ris sec.
but than i was wrong
cos i ended up @ Bugis with Ian, Shirley, Yue Yuan and Ching Soon & OUR INSTRUMENTS after the practice .....

Today.
at last!!! i managed to wake up on time to meet Yue Yuan for sws youth practice this morning. I guess this is what i call motivation. hahahas..
I think it is good to have someone that stayed around your house area..
am so happy that Jian Xiang is back to youth practice now. it is really fun when he is here today.

TIRED!

VERY TIRED!

minimum hours of sleep for 2 consecutive days after the friday performance r killing me.

3rd July 2008 , Friday

the racial harmony concert brought together by the changkat students n alumni. It is held @ ITE East (College) Simei and that also marks the end of the changkat alumni band practices.

though this performance wasnt as good as the Epiphany III, i guess all of us enjoy the company of everyone as this could be last time we r seeing each other.

I must really thank the friends that have joined us in the Epiphany III and this racial harmony concert.

I believe this is the 3rd time ..

im playing for Pasir Ris Band for their annual concert, VIVALA

Today i attended my "official" first practice with the band.

6 - 9pm earlier @ Pasir Ris Sec Band Room.

Seriously, i have never played with the band before and concert is just 2 weeks later. OMG

It is really side-reading to me for all the pieces. and for all of you guys information im suck @ side-read. I cant really play well now let alone side-reading pieces and than perform with them. I think instead of helping them out, it is more like destroying.

As what law fatt said earlier during our rehearsal, I really have to attend their practices more before the concert on July 11th.

After the rehearsal, we headed to around bedok blk 85 there to makan

i think is blk 89, the malay stall cos Zoul is around. =)

Zoul, Law Fatt , Ian , Shirley and me squeeze into Mr Ng's car. hahas

seriously it is always so fun when Mr Ng is around.

Changkat Changi Epipanty III

Last saturday, Changkat Changi Military Band had their 3rd annual concert. It was quite successful though i guess the hall wasnt fully seated. But at least all the members and the alumni + friends enjoyed themselves.

This year was so much memorable as im pretty much active in almost all the band practices and friends like law fatt , baldwin and mr andy sim joined us. =)
